The UPRERA [Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority] officials of the Greater Noida bench recently reviewed the progress of 7,240 flats that are being developed by eight builders in the city.

The officials said that the review exercise was conducted to monitor the progress of these projects as they all are running late in comparison to their date of completion and possessions.

 Balwinder Kumar, a member of the UPRERA team said that the builders are asked to speed up the construction work of these projects as they are lagging behind the schedule. The will be a continuous exercise that will be carried out by the UPRERA authority in order to review the status of projects that are running behind the date of completion and possession.

The RERA official also said that on an average some developers are yet to deliver more than 800, 1,900, 700, 400, 650 and 1000 flats. After carrying out the review, Kumar said that some of the builders assured us to deliver projects by December 2019 and all flats are expected to be delivered by December 2020. He also said that the Greater Noida bench of UPRERA will keep making surprise review of all the projects that are running behind the schedule.

Till now, the Greater Noida bench of UPRERA a total of 13 builders and a status check of 32,440 flats.

Earlier, the same bench directed to form a tripartite committee to complete a residential project in Greater Noida’s Sector Chi V, Kamrup Housing. This stalled project is a144-apartment housing and was launched in the year 2012 with the promise to offer possession by 2015.
