The Rajasthan RERA has sent a proposal to the State Government to curb the irregular property dealing functioning. If the proposed plan gets sanctioned then property registration will become mandatory in the state. Also the introduction of this proposal will bring huge transparency and professional feel in the real estate sector in here Rajasthan.
The RERA Act clearly states that property registration is compulsory to protect homebuyers interest and no sale/purchase of any plot, flat or a property can take place without a registry. An UDH official said that the RERA authority will take necessary action against real estate agents who are active in the state without getting registered under the Act as this will protect the rights of a homebuyer.
The official further said that a number will be given to all real estate agents and dealers once they complete the registration procedure. In fact it will be mandatory for all property dealers to mention this number on their visiting cards.
The formation of appellate tribunal is still pending in the state as per the constitution of RERA and the hearing on this case is likely to begin after January. The official also said that many real estate agents and dealers have registered themselves under the RERA Act but still, some are working without getting them registered.
Earlier, the Rajasthan state accomplished construction of affordable homes in the rural areas under the PMAY [Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna] Scheme.
Sudarshan Sethi, the additional chief secretary Panchayati Raj and Rural Development, said that the Government has completed the construction of 3,03,000 lakh homes out of 4.73 lakh affordable homes which they targeted to complete in the past two years. He further stated that the remaining one lac homes are near to completion and will be ready by June this year.
