The Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon [MCG] took the decision for small independent home owners in a recent meeting that took place on July 25th. The corporation sanctioned 29 out of 31 proposals and one of the important decisions was to make planting of one tree mandatory for the homeowners with an area bigger than 250 sq.meter. Also, the homeowners having an under construction property are required to provide temporary toilets for labourers working at the site.
Yashpal Yadav, the Commissioner MCG said that massive citizen participation will be ensured in order to make the plantation drive a success. In fact, the corporation gave nod for a plantation drive on main roads of the city and in vertical gardens at various intersections. Apart from this, Madhu Azad, the City Mayor said that the corporation is considering the increasing criminal activities in the city and announced to work jointly with the local police to ensure verification of tenants as this will help them track if any outsider living in the city is involved in any crime or not.
The LED streetlight project is underway in the city and the Energy Efficiency Services Limited has been hired for the completion of the same. However, earlier, Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana CM gave approval for registering fourth floors constructed by the independent homeowners recently in the plotted colonies. The sanction for registration of fourth-floor came as a big relief for the property owners particularly in Huda sectors and licensed colonies of the Gurugram region.
Also, nearly 27,000 people will be the beneficiaries of PMAY [Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojna] in the city as they will also receive a subsidy under the same scheme which is also known as the CLSS [Credit-Linked Subsidy Scheme] which was launched by PM Narendra Modi-led Union Government who set the target to deliver housing for all by the year 2022.
