Recently, the Panchkula administration laid a proposal to increase the collector rate by 2 to 10 percent in some areas. The administration also uploaded proposed rates on the official website and seeks suggestions from the citizens on the same within 15 days.

Balkar Singh, Deputy Commissioner said that we have uploaded the proposed rates on the Panchkula district website and seek suggestions from the residents before finalizing the same.

As per the officials, the proposed collector rates are increased to Rs. 47,000 per square yard to Rs. 52,000 per square yard in 6, 7, 8 sectors; the rate is proposed to be increased from Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 52,000 per square yard in MDC sector 4 and 6, in Sector 12 the rate is proposed from Rs. 37,000 to Rs.45,000, in Sectors from 12/A, 14, 20, 21 the rates are proposed to be hiked from Rs. 37,000 to Rs. 39,000 and in Sector 4 the same rate is proposed to an increase from Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 47,000.

However, the price remains unchanged in few MDC sectors 27, 28, 31, 19 at Rs. 38,000, in Budhanpur HUDA plots the rate remains static at Rs. 25,000, in sectors 23 to 26 rate stands unchanged at Rs. 32,000, Rs. 39,000 in sectors 2, 15, 16, 17, 18 and Rs. 45,000 in sectors 9, 10 and 11.

Also, the collector rate for the ground floor remains same to that of the last year. Whereas the rate for first floor and basement are proposed to an increase of 100 that currently stands at Rs. 1,100.
