The Noida Metro Rail Corporation [NMRC] received go ahead in the final and mandatory safety inspection report to inaugurate the commercial operations of the Aqua line metro recently.
After getting the approval the Noida Metro Rail Corporation wrote to the Yogi Aditynath-led Uttar Pradesh government to finalize the date of inauguration of the Aqua Line which is planned to run between Sector 71 station in Noida and the Depot Station in Greater Noida while covering a stretch of 29.7 km including 21 stations.
P D Upadhyay, NMRC Executive Director said that the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) report has been received and it has its sanction for the commercial operations of the metro service. The report also praised the civil and track work of the metro system.
The Managing Director of NMRC’s wrote to the Uttar Pradesh State Government for finalizing the inauguration of this metro line. The MD was in Lucknow recently to hand over a letter to the Chief Secretary Anup Chandra Pandey.
The MD of Noida Metro Rail Corporation also shared the information on fares and said that the same will be discussed in the next board meeting which is scheduled to take place on December 28. He also said that Chairman Sanjay K Murthy, the additional secretary to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs will chair this meeting.
The Noida Metro Rail Corporation [NMRC] was responsible for creating optimized-station rooms like the auxiliary sub-stations, signalling room, telecom room. The Corporation also have to leave space to vacate for the property development.
