In the recently held meeting, the Lucknow Development Authority [LDA] decided to diminish the land limit for the construction of flat. Now, this limit is reduced from 2,000 square meters to 300 square meters. According to this, a person cannot build the fourth floor in the building.

The sources said that this decision is taken to offer more dwelling units to the city residents as the continuous growth in population demand more housing units.

An official of the Lucknow Development Authority said that from now onwards a person can only construct ground floor plus three floors on the least size of 300 sq mtr plot. On the other hand, each floor can be added to every additional 100 sq mtr area. This limit can go up to a maximum of 24 on a 2,000 sq mtr plot.

A survey will be soon carried out and the construction can be bought under this rule by penalizing them for the already developed structure.

Apart from this, the Lucknow Development Authority also planned to levy user charges on 25 residential colonies in the capital city of Uttar Pradesh. These colonies include Jankipuram, Aashiana, Chowk, Alambagh, Sitapur Road for cleaning, garbage collection and maintenance of roads.

The Lucknow Development Authority built these roads but is yet to handover them to the Lucknow Municipal Corporation. Also, the officials of LDA said that the rate of user charge will be finalized by a committee that has members of both the Lucknow Development Authority and the UP Housing board.

The authority also sanctioned the redevelopment map of Gomtinagar railway station, development of nearly 3,000 flats on the 10-acre land in Aishbagh, DPR of hi-tech township on Rae Bareli road, NOC to 1.2 km subway connecting Ram Manohar Lohia hospital to Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of medical sciences and map of IT City at Chak Gajaria.
