In the recently tabled draft budget of Rs. 679.89-crores the Pimpri Chinchwad New Township Development Authority emphasized on housing in the city.
The Chief Executive Officer Satishkumar Khadke, presented the budget in a meeting chaired by Sadashiv Khade, president of PCNTDA.
The authority proposed construction of a helipad, an industrial museum, a Vipasanna Centre and a Sanvidhan Bhavan in the city. The Pimpri Chinchwad New Township Development Authority also proposed the development of 5,000 affordable houses in the city under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Khadke, the chief executive officer shared the information that the proposed helipad will be developed on a one-acre plot in Moshi and it will also have a guest house. He also said that the construction of all this will be completed within a year.
He further informed that the Sanvidhan Bhavan is planned to have a research centre, a competitive examination centre, a library, a mini theatre and a garden too.
Similarly, the Vipasanna Centre is planned to be developed on a 7-acre plot that is reserved for a park within the jurisdiction of the authority.
PCMC i.e. the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation tabled the proposal to develop 12 villages according to 18 town planning scheme under its jurisdiction.
Earlier this month, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation laid a proposal to develop 12 villages under the 18 town planning schemes.
It was informed that all these schemes are proposed in Thergaon, Chikahli, Chinchwad, Charholi, Ravet, Kiwale, Punawale, Tathawade, Mamurdi, Dudulgaon, Moshi and Borhadewadi villages.
