DDA i.e. the Delhi Development Authority gave the private developers a reason to cheers after its recent meeting.
In a meeting, chaired by lieutenant governor Anil Baijal, the authority decided to allow the private players to buy its plots for developing group housing society projects on them.
DDA sanctioned the proposal to sale group housing plots via e-auction and this will welcome the individuals, partnership firms, private and public limited companies and consortium with ample funds to buy plots for the development of the same.
However, the developer has to follow the Delhi Master Plan 2021 and has to keep 15 percent FAR [Floor Area Ratio] for the development of community service personnel and the Economically Weaker Section.
The Delhi Development Authority also took the decision regarding the allotment of institutional plots for old age homes, orphanages and reformatory through e-auction.
DDA spokesperson said that while considering repeated requests from various organizations and societies to allot land in the past, the authority decided to offer allotment of institutional plots reserved for old age homes, orphanage and reformatory. The Government departments were only responsible to setup old age homes till now.
DDA also extended the deadline till December 2020 for the completion of construction on the plots allotted by the authority in Rohini residential scheme 1981 on payment of composition fees.
The DDA spokesperson also said that construction can’t be carried out several plots within the fixed time because of various reasons that include determination of lease, litigation on plots and financial constraints.
The Delhi Development Authority also sanctioned the proposal of an online scheme for the disposal of 225 commercial built-up properties on a first-come, first-served basis. The small businessmen can take shops through the online process and all these units are available in Rohini, Narela, East Zone, West Zone and South Zone.
The complete lists of available shops will soon be uploaded on the website of Delhi Development Authority the spokesperson informed. The nod is also given by the authority to include Barwala and Mubarikpur Dabas where land pooling is applicable.
