The Nashik Municipal Corporation has now decided to sanction building plans offline due to the technical snag in the AutoDCR i.e online software to sanction building plans. The contractor has reportedly failed to fix the bug. The Civic body will also carry out various other property related task offline.
The sanction of building plan offline will begin from today and various developers have registered their complaints about AutoDCR with the Civic body Commissioner. The developers also requested the civic body to introduce the offline working system.
The Nashik Municipal Corporation commenced an online system named AutoDCR to receive building plans for approval. This software is developed by a Pune-based company and has been implemented two-year back.
According to the sources, the software has various errors as it does not function according to the Development Control [DC] rules and also calculate FSI incorrectly.
The sources further said that the company had been notified about errors and ultimatum was also given to them to fix the problem but they didn’t pay any attention to the same.
Radhakrishna Game, Municipal Commissioner has given directives to the Municipal Corporation for blacklisting the contractor. The sources informed that the Nashik Civic body has decided to stop the operations of this online system and will carry out all the property-related task offline.
The Town Planning Department will commence offline working to sanction building plans from today, the sources confirmed.
Earlier in March, the Nashik Municipal Corporation crossed the mark of Rs. 100 crore in the property tax collection and this is the first time that something like happened.
According to the latest data shared by the Municipal Corporation, the property tax collection amounts to Rs. 104 crore that is more than 30% of the amount that was collected in the same period of the last financial year.
