In regard with the Lokayukta order, the Jaipur Municipal Corporation [JMC)] attached two properties in the Moti Doongri zone.
The other two properties were seized for unauthorized construction in Malviya Nagar after the civic body received separate and multiple complaints.
Also, a rooftop restaurant was operational in the Moti Doongri area and they also constructed the fifth without seeking permission from the civic body.
Earlier, the Lokayukta directed the Jaipur Municipal Corporation nearly a year back and the former deputy commissioner of the area gave directives to seize the building at that time.
Manish Fuajdar, DC, Moti Doongri zone, said that earlier we were not able to get ample enforcement and finally the same was arranged earlier this week and thus we seized a restaurant and one more building. The owners of a rooftop restaurant constructed the fifth floor without the permission of the civic body and thus the action was due to be enacted.
The other two buildings didn’t follow the order to bring hold to the illegal construction in Malviya Nagar at plot 41 and 42. Both these structures were also seized in 2017 but the continuous violation of rules forced the Jaipur Municipal Corporation to take action again.
Earlier in February, the Jaipur Development Authority cleared encroachments from its land of worth Rs 300 crore and sized 25 bigha land parcel. This piece of land adjoins Dravyawati River Project close to Bambala Pulia on the Tonk Road.
According to an official, of enforcement wing the mafia built restaurants, shops and shacks on the land located in Sheopur area of zone-8. The official also informed that a protestor identified as Ashok Khateek is also asserted for interrupting peace.
The Jaipur Development Authority raised fencing on the cleared land. According to an official the development body is also planning to auction this land for a hotel and also informed that the authority is hoping to generate revenue of Rs. 300 crore from the auction.
The development body aims to recover the cost incurred in the Dravyawati River Project cost after by staging auction of the land on the other side of the river.
