To curb increasing illegal construction or encroachment in the capital city, the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has recently launched a new ‘DDA 311’ app wherein residents can register their complaints just by a click on their mobile phone and make complain against illegal construction in Delhi.
On Monday, they have made the ‘DDA 311’ app live so that all those facing problems from illegal construction complaints in Delhi on public land can submit their objections by taking a picture of the property, which will prove that grievance. The DDA 311 app download is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
A DDA official said that the app is called ‘DDA-311’ has been developed to enable users to report illegal construction complaints in Delhi whenever they spot something. He also noted that DDA has received over 1600 complaints against illegal construction in Delhi in a day that shows how much the menace of illicit properties increases in the capital city day by day.
Giving more details, Union Minister of State Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri said, “Users can upload pictures along with the location of the unauthorized construction. There will be zero tolerance for illegal encroachment. The STF will meet every two weeks, and a nodal officer for each zone will be appointed. The much-needed clearing up of Delhi is underway.” He added that the civic bodies and authorities will further take action once the complaint is registered.
Steps To Register Complain Against Illegal Construction in Delhi
- Download ‘DDA 311’ app, which is available on both Android and iOS platform
- Go to ‘STF Enforcement Drive’ Link
- Click a photograph of illegal construction to register a complaint against illegal construction in Delhi
- Your GPS location will be tagged with the picture.
- Select the area where the unauthorized construction is taking place
- Select Nodal officer
- Provide a description of the property and click on the submit button to register your complaint.
Once the complaint is submitted, the complainant will be notified through an SMS on your registered mobile number. To keep the complainant’s identity secret, DDA has decided to provide a unique user ID that could also track the complaint’s status.
