BDA i.e. the Bengaluru Development Authority plans to go online as it will allow them to offer better services to the city residents. The commencement of online services for property and other issues related to the same will be helpful to the locals as they need not stand in a long queue at the authority office.

The Bengaluru Development Authority recently introduced collection of property tax online and this digital media also provide services like building plan approvals, certificates for flats and sites and issuance of possession certificate to the city residents. The plan to offer online service will also prove helpful to the locals as they no longer require filling forms at the center, especially for certificate issuance.

The staff of the Bengaluru Development Authority will be trained to work online. The officers will be provided with a special dashboard to view and sanction the residents’ application from anywhere. This process will minimize delay.

Currently, few locals carried out the online form filling procedure thus the authority officials feel that the momentum will be gained with the launch of online property service. The property owners seeking Possession certificate can now directly apply online for the same soon after making full payment of the purchased flat/plot. The khata document will also be provided online as acquiring of possession certificate is mandatory in the capital city of Karnataka. The Bengaluru Development Authority will bear the entire cost for implementation of this online system.

Apart from these services, the online system of Bengaluru Development Authority will also offer document of transfer of khata, bifurcation and amalgamation of BDA plots. The authority also plans to make allotment of plots and flats paperless by allowing buyers to complete payment and other formalities online for which they need to create a login on the portal.
