The Government data discloses that over 1,65,000 people availed the benefits of CLSS [Credit-Link-Subsidy Scheme] started by the Narendra Modi-led Central Government in the year 2015. The data lists these many beneficiaries from the year 2015 till 2018.
The Government has approved 45 lakh+ housing units till now and the nearly 27 lakh out of them are in different stages of completion. However, the construction of more than 8 lakh houses is completed during this three year period. The Central Government sanctioned Rs 31,505 crores for the PMAY [Pradhan Mantri Aawas Yojna] Scheme along with the provision for additional funding under EBR [Extra Budgetary Resources] in the financial year 2018-19.
Although, the financial budget for PMAY Scheme is sanctioned and rupees 1,900 crores is dedicated to it. Apart from this, the Government has also made financial funding flexible and the authority can withdraw additional money according to the requirement from additionally allocated Rs 25,000 crores under EBR [Extra Budgetary Resources].
According to the officials, there is sufficient funding for the PMAY Scheme and hence the work is going at a steady speed which ensures the timely achievement of the target “Housing for All.
