In order to reduce traffic woes of daily commuters, Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL) is all set to start a metro railway corridor of 10 kilometers between Hi-Tec City and Ameerpet by the end of December. According to reports, the metro corporation is fast-tracking the work so that it gets completed in a timely manner.

Out of the 72 km elevated Hyderabad Metro Rail project, a 30 km corridor between Nagole and Miyapur has already been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Apart from this, a 16 kilometers route has been made functional between LB Nagar and Ameerpet in September 2018.

Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited has already won several awards and is known for executing some of the latest technologies and unique innovations in terms of both finances and engineering. With the start of operation on rest of the routes, Hyderabad Metro will become the second biggest metro railway network after the national capital.

Moreover, the metro authorities are also planning to introduce monthly passes and a combined pass ticket will enable travel through the metro network and TSRTC city buses along with other public transport facilities. Furthermore, with the commencement of Hitech City route, real estate prices of the surrounding areas will also get a boost. This will also give impetus to the overall livability of several adjacent areas.

Launched in 1995, HITEC City is home to several Information Technology, Engineering, Health informatics, and Bioinformatics campus. The city is spread over 151 acres of land and lies near Madhapur, Gachibowli, Kondapur, Nanakramguda, and Manikonda. Due to the presence of many big and renowned campuses, the area is favourable among many working professionals.

Hitech City is home to several premium residential real estate projects such as Cybercity Marina Skies, Legend Nirvana, Ramky Repose and Golden Gate Golden Habitat.
